*NOTE: These are the events that take place between Chapters 2 and 3 of the first book. (These events are not written in the actual book but are only referred to as necessary.)

In the year 2377A.D. man had his first encounter with beings from another planet. The Nertolians who hailed from the third moon of Trelon in the Orion Nebula were a kind and peaceful race of beings. Curiosity is what brought them to Earth.

Although relations between the humans and the new aliens were shaky at first, things soon calmed down and the two cultures began to merge. The Nertolians, being a humanoid race of technologically advanced beings, began to educate the Earthlings in their way of technology while Earth in turn provided them with many resources that were unavailable on their home planet.

By the end of the century, the Earth, having made significant advances in space travel technology, began making open trade with the Nertolians and a few more inhabited planets that they found along the way. By the beginning of the 25th Century, Earth had established relations with over twenty different planets.

Due to the many new and foreign resources the planets in this solar system had to offer, many of these new acquaintances began to migrate to inhabit some of the neighboring planets. The relations between these planets continued to grow stronger.

2634A.D.- Relations between Earth and its neighboring planets began to get heated. The reason for this is that due to the migration of beings to this solar system, things were beginning to get crowded. The Planetary Council was formed as a result.

With members from each culture participating in council, it was decided that the best way to handle the situation was to put a limit on how many people could migrate to a planet each year. Earth, having been decreed the leader of the council was to be counted as a sacred planet therefore allowing the fewest migrations per year. This helped to preserve the purity of the human race. It was also decided that in order to prevent any further arguments the planets should work together to find other uninhabited planets to colonize.

It was during this time that mankind began to make further advances in the field of Genetic Engineering. The logic behind this was to create a race of people who could survive any kind of planetary climate long enough to build a colony. Once this was accomplished others would be free to move to each of the newly colonized planets.

The program lasted for only 46 years before being terminated for unknown reasons. However, due to the abrupt termination of the program, there were many genetically engineered personnel (Bio-gens) in circulation. Disliked, not trusted by their fellow man, and having no purpose to serve, many bio-gens were captured and sent back to the labs for disposal.

Earth, having sympathy for the plight of the Bio-gens instated a new humanitarian law that abolished the unapproved termination of Genetic test subjects. Still ridiculed by most of the planets in the council who favored Bio-gen termination, many of the subjects were allowed to gain citizenship on Earth, which was to serve as a haven to them. Because of this, they too began to mingle with the rest of the cultures. It was at this point that mankind got its first glance at natural genetic mutations in the human race.

2681A.D. War. Due to the inception of the Bio-gen race on Earth, scientists began to track random cases of genetic mutations in newborn children. The scientists were a little suspicious but no one ever really took interest in the findings until one day.

It was during the grand inauguration of new research vessel called the "Olympus" which was to travel at light speed to Sector 2000, the farthest quadrant of the Nebula galaxy. Thought to be unexplored, the Olympus, which was the first light speed capable vessel ever designed for long distance space travel, was to be the first vessel in history to travel to this section of space. There it would search for new planets to colonize and bring back new samples of different resources each planet had to offer.

Every high-ranking official in the galaxy was in attendance for this most extraordinary event. The celebration was spectacular. The launching of the new vessel mirrored the hopes and dreams of many. Yet in one split second it all came to an end when Prince Fircan, council representative to the Berman people, fell to the ground with a bullet wound to his head.

As security personnel scrambled to capture the assassin, a small group of terrorists began to attack the Olympus. Authorities and military personnel finally managed to route the small group of terrorists, however, it was already too late. The Olympus had already sustained over $300,000,000 of irreparable damage.

The prince's assassin was later apprehended. Upon further investigation, it was found that he and his terrorist counterparts were part of a Bio-gen supremacist group bent on ensuring the total annihilation of the non-Bio-gen races. Although most of the terrorists in the group were Bio-gen along with some human sympathetics, the assassin himself was a mutant born from a union of Bio-gen and human DNA.

Angry and confused, the people of Earth began to cry out for the total eradication of all Bio-gens and people who manifested supernatural or extra sensory (psionic) abilities. Two days later, war broke out between Bio-gen and Homosapien supremacists. The fighting quickly spread from Earth to all of the neighboring planets that Bio-gens and mutants inhabited resulting in the Genetic Wars.

2689A.D. Earth Bio-Gen and Homosapien Survivalists leaders call a truce ending the fighting on Earth that had been going on for 8 long years. Slowly other planets followed suite.

Millions were dead and the Planetary Council had all but vanished in the chaos. In an attempt to repair the damage caused over the last 8 years, the Attraxian Planetary Council was formed. Relations between the planets began to pick up and each of them swore to never again fight amongst themselves. However, due to the social and economical breakdown caused by the war, a serious crime problem had started to arise.

It was during this time that the first Interplanetary Police (I.P.) force was established. The operatives in each unit were called COBRAS, short for the Combat Ready Agents. The I.P later adopted the acronym C.D.U.L.O, short for the COBRA Defense of Universal Law and Order. The C.D.U.L.O would play brief but vital role in the years to come.

2703A.D. The Earth as well as most of the other planets in the solar system was still struggling to repair the damage inflicted during the Genetic Wars. However, things were starting to look better.

Once again all of the planets were working towards a common goal. Everything seemed to be going well. Then they came. They called themselves the Shi'aki, a race of aliens with unmatched technology and seemingly unlimited power. No one knew where they came from or what they wanted. They just appeared and all hell broke loose.

The Shi'aki began attacking all of the planets under the reign of the Attraxian Planetary Council. In the first few months it was thought that perhaps these aliens had some quarrel with one of the planets in the council. Many planets separated from the council wanting no part of the trouble. None of them survived. Without the protection of the council, the Shi'aki easily overran and destroyed each of these planets.

The technology these aliens had at their disposal was far more advanced than anything the council had ever seen. They knew that if something didn't happen soon, the alliance would be destroyed. The council decided to move all of the most well known scientists to Earth in order to pool the technology of each race in an attempt to find something that could match the awesome power of the Shi'aki. During this time many technological advances were made including the first operational atmos-shield and planetary defense grid. It was also during this time that the C.D.U.L.O. first began playing its role as a strictly military organization instead of a small police unit. In the years to come, the C.D.U.L.O would become the only thing to come between the Shi'aki and total annihilation of mankind.

2718A.D. The Attraxian Planetary Council was still at war with the Shi'aki and although technology had managed to give the planets of the council a little more of a fighting chance, things still weren't looking too good. The Shi'aki continued to dominate on the battlefield.

Many of the planets in the council had been destroyed or taken over by Shi'aki forces. However, Earth and a few others still remained and were still fighting. It was during this time that the course of the war was turned and something happened that would change the world forever.

The change didn't come about through some grand weapon that was developed or by a mysterious force of nature. It came through one man... A man named Zinjin.
